Rifugio Lagazuoi has been run by the Pompanin Family since its construction in 1965 after Ugo’s enterprising idea. Together with his wife Alda, Ugo managed the Rifugio for 35 years. In 1978, their sons Guido and Paolo left their studies to join their parents. Paolo for ten years, then he married and went to live in the States. Alda and Ugo retired in 2000 and the management passed on to Guido and Alma, his wife.

The experience gained in thirty years at the Lagazuoi, the knowledge of both English and German languages, the organization of staff and service guarantee the excellent quality of a careful hospitality. Guido and Alma put diligent care in the management of bookings and offer reliable information on weather forecast and routes.
